“If you abide in My word, then you are truly My disciples.” John 8:31 TLV

The Basics

We are an independent study group meeting each Erev Shabbat (Friday evening) to study the word of God in a classroom style setting.

In November 2011, a group of Christians and Messianics met to begin a study group. These people were interested in the Hebraic Roots of their faith and wanted to further their understanding of the word. It was an immediate success and continues through today. The group has continued to grow over the years and we would very much like to open up the opportunity to everyone.

We are not affiliated with any denomination or Messianic affiliation but remain independent. Our participants consist of all backgrounds, ages, and affiliations.

The cost is $0; just bring your body, soul, spirit, and Bible. Dress is very casual and refreshments are usually provided.

Each week, we study from a portion of the Torah (the first 5 books of the Old Testament) cyclically, and then open up the remainder of the scriptures including the Brit HaDashah (New Testament) chronologically. In order to properly understand the Tanach (Old Testament) and Brit HaDashah (New Testament), you must first understand Torah; the rest of the Bible will be understandable and flow properly if the fundamentals and patterns of Adonai (The Lord) are firmly understood.

A weekly ear-tickling sermonette won’t do. It takes consistent and repetitive dedication to the study of the scriptures to learn and walk in His word. In other words, it’s a lifetime commitment.

Important Information

Core Values

These are but a few of the establishing tenants of faith we teach, but ultimately our purpose is to walk in the New Covenant with a full understanding of the whole bible and not just a partial new-testament-only focus as taught by many in the modern church.

Divine Words

From before Yeshua’s (Jesus’s) time on earth until now the enemy has succeeded in keeping men and women from the truth of God’s word through a variety of man-made, imposed doctrines, and theological interpretations. Yeshua spent His entire ministry on earth fighting the traditions and doctrines of rabbinical teachings (NOT THE RECORDED WORD or LAW). It is now our goal, as believers in Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus our Messiah) to understand the entire Bible from its Hebraic foundations in order to properly understand the Gospel and walk in this glorious new Covenant until He returns and establishes His kingdom forever. Amen.

Covenants

Each covenant in the Bible has a sign as evidence. The Noach Covenant was a rainbow. The Abrahamic Covenant was circumcision. The Mosaic Covenant was Shabbot or Sabbath. The New Covenant is the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). We therefore believe in the fullness of the Spirit’s (Ruach) operation and continue to walk in Him. We lay hands on the sick, and fully acknowledge all the gifts when prompted and in proper order.

Obedient Lifestyle

In studying the Torah, many questions arise regarding the modern applicability of many of the requirements of the law for us. These questions can be confusing with regard to the modern interpretations of how to keep a Torah observant lifestyle. These issues are further exacerbated by the standard rabbinical dictates from the Talmud and other extra-biblical writings of men. For example, many of the traditions for Jewish observances of feasts, etc., can be confused as Biblical rather than man-made. Additionally, we also attempt to honor Adonai by maintaining a “biblical, not rabbinical” Kosher lifestyle, avoiding foods that even science has proven have associated health risks. All of the modern interpretative attempts to redact this principle in the New Testament are easily refuted.
